Some Left Over From A Blast From The Past

I am starting to study Mandarin after too many years thinking, longing, initiating, searching and yes procrastinating i finally took the course yippie !!!

I met my Japanese friend Yumi after quite sometime, she told me that she started to take Mandarin course with some of her Jap friends. After considering the location which is only ten minutes from my place and the fee that fits my budget I decided to give it a go.
If you ask how did it go, I would say it was pretty distressing. It wasn't as easy as I imagine.

I used to learn Mandarin after being "motivated" by Meteor Garden, F4 encouraged me too learn it so we can communicate better, someday.... I'm a fearless dreamer or in this case day dreamer lol !
I immediately feel hungry in the first 15 minutes of my course. You know how I always feel the urge to eat whenever I'm in distress.
So other than retail therapy, food is my comforter.

Enough about my recent activity just hangin there and one day you'll read my blog in Mandarin :p

What Time Is It ? It's Durian Time :D

You can love it or loath it but no matter what I am always seized by it...

Yes, durian is quite rare among other fruit they only come once a year and each one has different taste. So consider yourself lucky when you taste the good one.

A Blast From The Past

How is everybody ? Well I hope !
Sorry for my absence, been crazily busy preparing things for my make up gig and also helping my friend for Southeast Sulawesi exhibition.
Gosh, how would I know working as an event organizer can be so frustrating. I was on the road for almost the whole week.

On the other hand I am glad because I've done my make up gig, my sister and I are responsible in doing all the hair and make up for the bride, their family, ushers and MC.
It was quite an experience I may say. I'll spare you the detail once I get the result from the photographer.

A Walk In The Afternoon

Today after like ages I went to a movie with two of my beloved friends.

It was Knight & Day, I know I know we were a little behind but blame in on the theater. We all want to see it asap.
We decided to see it because we heart Cruise and Diaz well who doesn’t.

Diaz looked pretty old  there, older than usual she doesn’t put enough make up to sustain the light but come to think of it she never really wear too much make up.
I still love her though, I love her facial expression, her natural acting, her dimples, her authenticity.
Another breath of fresh air in the midst of our soap opera’s actresses. 

Mr. Cruise on the other hand doesn’t show any trace of aging. What a fantastic job botox ! Oh and those perfect veneer white teeth.
Not that I mind but I'm jealous over Mrs. Cruise and please don’t mention Suri cause she’ll make me green with envy. 

Anyway, the two hour Day & Knight was pretty entertaining. Unlike Cruise’s typical movie, it was a combination of action and comedy with a slight of romance.
I like how they amuse us with so many exotic location one of them is Spain.
Now I am more eager to go there. Viva Espana !!!

Hmm... what else did I like about the movie ? 
Oh I like Diaz simple outfit and boots...

When the movie finished we went to grab a coffee and doughnut where we chat for a bit. Regrettably I didn’t get their pics because none of them want their pic to be taken. You should see how cute they look together and they look alike too.

After coffee my friend went surfing and the other one must go to hospital for a night duty. I gotta run some errands myself but my kind of errand involves window shopping and walking in a wonderful weather of summer in the afternoon ha !

I was too busy enjoying the road, the passer by, the weather and also too busy admiring all the astounding store until again I didn’t take more pics. I know you guys a little upset about it but I was in the rush.

When I got home my sister was doing nothing, it was a rare situation considering how busy she is normally. So we decided to do a make up test this time me as a make up artist woohoo I was so excited !
Because we’ll be handling a make up for a wedding on October.
And last night was the first time I ever did a party make up on someone and that’s including the false lahes :D

My sister said I was well enough for the first timer although she corrected her eyebrow because she said eyebrow will make or break the whole make up. So I know I should practice more on shaping eyebrow.

first i put primer then i mixed these two foundation, one is dark the other is light

i love using this shade (electra) from mac, very suitable for party make up

our fav eyeliner, can't go wrong with it !

this is the lip liner i used as lipstick 

compact powder and as a finishing touch i brushed out this shimmer brick
